Recently, Alibaba Qianwen held its "Born AI, Intelligent New Life" AI hardware 2026 launch event, officially unveiling three Personal Agent hardware products: the Qianwen AI Glasses N1, N1 Pro, and AI clip-on earbuds.

As a core optics ecosystem partner of Alibaba Qianwen, Conant Optics was deeply involved in the product iteration of the N1 and N1 Pro, supplying 23 lens SKUs for each model in the series. This forms a product matrix spanning multiple refractive indices, blue-light protection, smart photochromic and colorful functional lenses, and includes configurable tinted substrates, polarizing optical sheets and multilayer functional lens coatings suited to high-glare outdoor scenarios such as cycling and golf.

Conant is also the core supplier of plano and myopia prescription lenses for the series, and the exclusive supplier of 1.74 high-refractive-index lenses, high-value colorful lenses and smart photochromic lenses.

Judging from recent business momentum, Conant's XR smart optics business has moved beyond technology validation and sample iteration into a critical window of concentrated mass production and continued volume ramp-up with leading customers. In the first half of 2026, the company's XR business revenue reached approximately RMB 50.5 million, up about 15-fold year on year, while gross margin rose in step to 42.9 percent, as mass-production projects began to visibly lift the revenue and profit mix.

The company disclosed that a major AR smart glasses project with a world-leading technology company is scheduled to enter mass production in the fourth quarter of 2026, as the XR business moves from "0 to 1" into a phase of accelerated volume growth. On the capacity side, the Shanghai base plans to add four dedicated production lines for lens lamination and complete-unit packaging, while Phase II and Phase III XR line plans are being launched in parallel to meet growing order demand from customers at home and abroad.

In terms of customer positioning, Conant has worked with about 20 leading smart glasses makers in China and overseas on more than 40 cooperation projects, and has signed long-term R&D or procurement framework agreements with leading customers. In July 2026, the company was further designated by four major customers as a core lens supplier or multi-year R&D partner, covering high-refractive-index ultra-thin waveguide prescription lenses, lens lamination and assembly, and complete-unit encapsulation.
