FiberHome Ruituo, a wholly owned subsidiary of FiberHome Technologies, has filed for construction of Phase II of its industrial-scale project for oversized optical fiber preforms, with total investment of about RMB 398 million. Once completed, it will add 600 tons of annual preform capacity. In May, the company unveiled an optical fiber preform measuring 0.3 meters in diameter and 3.5 meters in length, from which about 20,000 kilometers of fiber can be drawn from a single piece.
C114 News, October 14 (Nanshan) — The Hubei Provincial Public Resource Trading Platform recently published the construction filing announcement for the FiberHome Ruituo ultra-large optical fiber preform industrialization project (Phase II).
According to the announcement, the project has a total floor area of 3,250 square meters and will renovate the existing site to build optical fiber preform production and supporting facilities. Once completed, it will add 600 tons of annual optical fiber preform capacity.
Total project investment: RMB 397.7513 million.
According to available information, FiberHome Ruituo is a wholly owned subsidiary of FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies. In May, FiberHome Ruituo unveiled the world's largest optical fiber preform, measuring 0.3 meters in diameter and 3.5 meters in length. A single preform can continuously draw up to 20,000 kilometers of optical fiber; the fiber drawn from two preforms combined would encircle the Earth, setting a new world record for optical fiber preform dimensions.
This filing is part of the overall plan for FiberHome Ruituo's ultra-large optical fiber preform industrialization project. Under FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies' 2026 plan for a private placement of A shares, the project has a planned total investment of RMB 547.7513 million, of which RMB 528.1471 million will come from the proceeds raised, with a construction period of two years. Once completed, the project will establish large-scale production capacity of 600 tons of optical fiber preforms and 45 tons of core rods per year.
