Goertek Optics and Jinguang Technology Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement to Advance Non-Invasive Detection Optics and Manufacturing

Topics and contents
AI briefing

Goertek Optics and Jinguang Technology recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement to collaborate on innovations in non-invasive detection optics and large-scale product manufacturing. Jinguang Technology's non-invasive blood glucose detection solution, based on multiplexed micro-spatially offset Raman spectroscopy (mμSORS), published clinical research results in Nature Metabolism in 2025, and its Xiaogan mass-production base is planned with annual capacity at the million-unit level. The two sides will combine Jinguang Technology's technical expertise with Goertek Optics' precision optical R&D and mass-production capabilities to carry out joint R&D, product supply and technical support.

Recently, GoerTek Optics and Jinguang Technology formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will carry out in-depth collaboration on optical technology innovation and large-scale product manufacturing in the field of non-invasive detection.

This partnership builds on the continued expansion of both companies' capabilities. Jinguang Technology has long been deeply engaged at the intersection of medicine and engineering. Its non-invasive blood glucose detection solution, based on multiple micro-spatial offset Raman scattering (mμSORS) spectroscopy, published clinical research results in Nature Metabolism in 2025. The company is also advancing construction of its Xiaogan mass-production base, with planned annual capacity on the order of one million units, and is at a critical stage of transitioning from technology validation to scaled manufacturing.

GoerTek Optics, meanwhile, has continued to step up investment in precision optics and micro-nano manufacturing. In June 2026, its 12-inch AR micro-nano optics wafer base went into operation in Lingang; in October of the same year, China's first 12-inch DUV lithography and etching mass-production line was formally established, extending wafer-level optical manufacturing to semiconductor-grade precision and large-scale production.

Under the agreement, the two sides will leverage Jinguang Technology's optical technology expertise in life and health, combined with GoerTek Optics' manufacturing strengths in precision optics R&D, large-scale production and intelligent manufacturing, to cooperate across three dimensions: R&D collaboration, product supply and technical support.
