Forsight Optics Abandons Integrated Assembly: What Has Full-Chain Domestic FTIR R&D Achieved?
Topics and contents
Forsight Optics recently announced its inclusion in the eighth batch of the national-level specialized and sophisticated "little giant" list. Its FTIR approach relies on full-chain in-house development of optomechanics, electronic control and software. To date, the company has accumulated nearly 30 related patents. It won a Nanjing University multi-channel in-situ online FTIR project worth 896,000 yuan, and a Peking University FOLI20 procurement project at a unit price of 735,000 yuan. The article also notes that full-stack in-house development requires bearing the cost of yield ramp-up at each core stage, and current procurement volumes are not yet enough to shake up the high-end installed base.
